Swansea family-led animal charity marks 25 years of lifesaving work across south west Wales
The Pettifor Trust, one of south west Wales’ leading animal welfare charities, is celebrating 25 years of dedicated service, and announcing a new chapter in its leadership.
Created in 2000 by Eve Pettifor of Swansea, the Trust was created to support the welfare of vulnerable animals: domestic and wild, across Wales. Over this time, it has become a cornerstone of regional animal welfare, offering critical funding for veterinary care and supporting organisations such as Greenacres Rescue, Border Collie Rescue and Rehabilitation, and Llys Nini.
With two thriving charity shops in Sketty and Killay, alongside a robust programme of fundraising events and community engagement, The Pettifor Trust has built a reputation for trusted, grassroots impact.
Following Eve’s passing, her children - David, George, and Marianne Pettifor - upheld her vision, with Marianne Pettifor serving as CEO.
Marianne Pettifor, CEO of The Pettifor Trust said: “The charity will continue it’s devotion to the welfare of animals with lots of new exciting projects, funding avenues and expansion plans with the same team as the driving force.”
